The Philips UV-C desk lamp is the first disinfection lamp with spoken instructions and proximity sensors for safer and easier operation.

This advanced disinfection desk lamp can effectively deactivate viruses, bacteria, mold and spores in a matter of minutes. All bacteria and viruses tested to date respond to UV-C disinfection, and UV-C light sources tested in Philips laboratories inactivate 99% of SARS-CoV-2 virus on a surface with an exposure time of 6 seconds.

The timer function can be used depending on the size of the room or area. Larger spaces required a longer sanitization time, while small rooms or toilets may need just 15 minutes to get fully sanitized. As we know that exposure to UV-C can be harmful to eyes and skin, Philips added an extra layer of protection by using built-in sensors and timers. They are simple to use, with a concise control panel and voice support.

The microwave sensor detects moving objects and people up to 3 meters of distance around the lamp. It automatically turns off the lamp if a person, pet or objects is detected. The lamp is also equipped with a timer that can be set to 15, 30 or 60 minutes of duration.
